Part 4h - Article Marketing - Repeat the Process

I've mentioned it several times up to this point, but it bears repeating: Article marketing is not a one-shot deal. Sure, you'll get some results from publishing a single article. But to capitalize on everything article marketing has to offer, you should make it a regular part of your business.

In fact, the same is true of any web-marketing strategy. Success comes from persistence, analysis, repetition, and constant improvement.

Set up a schedule to help you publish regularly. Remember, the more quality articles you publish, the more online exposure you get. The two are directly proportionate.

Just be sure your new articles are actually new. Don't duplicate content. It's lazy for one thing, and some of the more sophisticated article directories (like EzineArticles.com) have software that matches and then flags article content submitted more than once. It's a good way to get your account cancelled.

In other words, write original material each time. Don't just "tweak" the same article three different ways. That would violate Brandon's Cardinal Rule #1 — your articles must be your original work.

Start out with one new article every other week, and see how manageable that is for you. If you find it's an easy schedule, try to to step it up to an article every week, or two per week. If you simply don't have the time for it, hire a freelance writer who understands the concept of article marketing.

I write two or three articles per week, in addition to all the other aspects of running a business, having a family, having a life, etc. So I'm living testament to the fact that you can write at least one article per week on a regular basis.

And if you follow your schedule and publish regularly, your articles will soon be visible to thousands of web readers, many of whom are seeking the very products or services that you provide. Not only that, but your website will enjoy higher search engine ranking as a result of all those inbound links. You'll also be positioning yourself as an expert in your field.

That's powerful. That's article marketing!

So let's sum up this chapter by reviewing some key points we discussed along the way, and by creating an article marketing checklist.
